I love Wet N Wild’s redone Megalast line. The bottles are a perfect size and I like the brush (when I don’t end up with wonky ones). I have a couple from the core collection so seeing these on a new display I knew I had to have them all. The collection is named Pick Your Poison so of course all the names are dark or morbid. I’m cool with that because I really like some of the colors. Listed Left to Right: Root Of All Evil, Poison Ivy, Deadly Dose, Lethal Injection, Toxic Apple, Venomous Vixen.
Here’s some bottle shots so you can check out the shimmer going on in these guys.
Root Of All Evil
Aren’t these gorgeous? If you are on the fence let me tell you now that you NEED Root Of All Evil, Toxic Apple and Poison Ivy. I have a quick wheel swatch of them as well. Be warned that this does not convey well the amazing shimmer of Toxic Apple (which is visible on the actual nail and in the bottle shot just not in my nail wheel swatch).
L-R: Lethal Injection, Toxic Apple, Root Of All Evil, Poison Ivy, Venomous Vixen, Deadly Dose
As you can see they’re pretty amazing and a very solid fall collection, and will lend well to the winter holiday season too with the rich jewel tones. My picks of course are Toxic Apple, Poison Ivy, Root Of All Evil and last Lethal Injection (I am not big on red/wine/berry shades but this is nice), with Venomous Vixen and Deadly Dose skippable if you already have a favorite gunmetal and gold polish.
The quality was nice, the same as the other new megalasts, and dry time was fairly quick. Test swatches on my own nails they lasted 4 days until I removed them, so they wear well too (nothing but normal tipwear noticed). Just watch out for wonky brushes- check before you buy. My Deadly Dose had a wonky brush and I couldn’t exchange because they were out of the shade, so I trimmed it down myself.
These retail $1.99 and I found mine at CVS. They are limited edition so make sure to try and find them before they disappear.
